Jonathan Haner
September 22, 1969
I was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan (USA). I travelled around a lot in my twenties, eventually settling in Europe
in 1996. My first three years were spent in the squatter scene of East Berlin
(now the thriving art district ‘Friedrichshain’). Since 1999 I’ve lived on the countryside of south Sweden.
I work primarily with sculpture and various collage techniques (object/digital collage, soundscape).
Over the last couple of years I've been very involved with creating a new sculpture park in southern Sweden.
I also have an ongoing collaboration with the Swedish artist Teresa Holmberg on a series of large portraits based
on meetings with cancer patients, doctors, and researchers. |
