Together with my partner Teresa Holmberg, we have explored different ways to work with concrete. Some of the techniques we use are products of our own experimentation, while others are methods we picked up along the way and expanded upon. The photos below are examples of the kinds of sculptures we've made, both together and as individuals.
The first examples are from an ongoing collection of human casts which we like to call 'Pagan'. Our concrete figures are often adorned with mythical attributes, like wings or horns. We use a wide range of materials such as metal, glass and textile, which we then decorate with everything from ceramic mosaic, to living plants. The last eight photos are examples of how thin you can work with fiber concrete. |
